About the Resource Centre

The East African Community (EAC) headquarters has three inter-connected specialized libraries namely:

  • The East African Community Secretariat (EACS) Information Resource Centre which focuses on information on all areas of co-operation of the Community as outlined in the Treaty for the Establishment of the EAC;
  • The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Resource Centre whose collection is based on legislative information materials; and
  • The East African Court of Justice Resource Centre (EACJ) – a specialized legal information hub

The core function of the EACJ Resource Centre is to support the judicial work of the Court by providing reference and up to date legal information to EAC Organs and Institutions, local and international users including: scholars, lawyers, students, governmental and Non- Governmental Organizations with interest in regional integration

Our vision is to:
Develop, Maintain and Operate a Well Equipped Regional Legal Information Resource Centre Offering Material in Print and Electronic Formats.
