REFERENCE NO. 19 OF 2024 EUGENIA WANJIRU GIKONYO v. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL THE REPUBLIC OF KENYA

The Applicant alleges that the Respondent’s State acts/omissions of lack of transparency and public participation while considering, setting up and implementing dept swaps transactions, especially debt for nature swaps and debt for food swaps to fund the budget deficit for Kenya’s financial year 2024/2025 are in violation of Article’s 9(a) to (c), (d), 7(2), 8(1)(c) and 124(1), (2) and (5) of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community  guaranteed  under Article 6(d) and 7(2).
