REFERENCE NO. 28 OF 2020 ABDUL OMARY NONDO v. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA

The Applicant alleges that provisions Rule 14, 37, 45 and 47 of the Electronic and Postal Communication (Radio and Television Broadcasting Content (Amendment) Regulation  (2020) amended by the Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports on 19th and gazetted on 26th June 2020 violate the freedom of expression and right to access information and also go against the supreme law of Tanzania under article 26 (1) and (2) of the Constitution of  the united Republic of Tanzania and also  violate the principles of democracy and rule of law which are provided under article 6, 7(2), and 8(1) (c) of The Treaty of  East African community.
