REFERENCE NO. 48 OF 2022 GEOFREY KAZINDA V THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA

The Applicant alleges that the Ruling of Honourable Jane Okuo Kajuga, Judge of the High Court of Uganda in High Court Corruption Division Miscellaneous Application No. 13 and 14 of 2022, Consolidated Miscellaneous Application No. 13 and 14 of 2022 at the time of writing the ruling without notification of the parties and contradicted herself by on one hand making a determination that confiscation orders were saved by Court of Appeal and on the other hand holding that had no jurisdiction to hear both applications, are unlawful and infringements of article 6(d) and 7(2) of the Treaty for Establishment of East African Community.
