Summary | The Applicant alleges that the election of the Respondent’s State Representatives to the East African Legislative Assembly held on 29th September 2022 was unprocedural, predetermined and shambolic. The applicant also faults the Ugandan Parliamentary Rules of Procedure in the election of the Ugandan Representatives to EALA stating that is ambiguous and vague on the manner of actual tallying, verification, and announcements of results of the elections. She asserts that the election was in contravention to Articles 6(d), 7(2) and 50 of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community.
