Court also heard Reference No. 10 of 2013 Union Trade Center (UTC) vs The Attorney General of Rwanda.

The Reference challenges the alleged seizure and auctioning of the UTC mall by the Government of Rwanda.

The Applicant's Lawyer Francis Gimara submitted that the actions by the Respondent contravene the provisions of the Treaty. It's his contention that the Reference is supported by the evidence of one Ayabatwa Rujugiro.

The Respondent's Counsel Nicholas Ntarugera opposed the Applicant's submissions arguing that the Reference is time barred and that Rujugiro did not have the authority to give evidence on behalf of the UTC (Applicant). The Interveners represented by Ms Molly Rwigamba supported the Respondent's submissions.

Ms Specioza Kabibi also represented the Respondent while Mr Hanningtone Amol for the Applicant.
